What Happens After You Place an Order for Flowers with Us


Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes after you place a flower order on our website?

At Periwinkle Flowers, every order is handled with care from start to finish—whether you’re sending flowers across town or just a few blocks away. Here’s how it works:

You begin by browsing our online shop and choosing an arrangement style and size. Then, you enter your message to the recipient and complete checkout securely with your billing and delivery details. You’ll get a confirmation email right away—if you forgot to write a message or need to adjust anything, just reply to that email and we’ll take care of it.

Once your order is in, I log it into our system, note any special requests, and file it for the appropriate delivery date.

On the day of delivery, I start by reviewing the order sheets and organizing everything by delivery area. Each arrangement is created that morning using fresh, seasonal blooms. I select the vase, greenery, and flowers, and design each piece individually—always in the style you selected.

Next, I photograph the finished piece, write out your personal message by hand, and tuck in a flower care tag. Then I wrap the whole arrangement beautifully in tissue and ribbon, place it in a box, and get it ready for delivery.

If the delivery is further out in Toronto, I load the details into my courier’s system for pickup. If it’s close by, I set it aside for my own local route.

At the end of the day, I check that each order was delivered and send you a confirmation email with the photo attached—so you know exactly what your recipient received.

It’s a quiet kind of magic, really: a small moment of care that starts with your thoughtfulness and ends with someone feeling seen and loved.
